ABOUT BOWLINE
Bowline is a boutique project management and professional services firm. Bowline actively pursues and participates in a variety of projects, new business start-up’s, management consulting and business development opportunities, operational strategies, financial modelling, skills development strategies, and training implementation initiatives support for new innovations.
While the company is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, we are able to service clients internationally. Our professional team consists of project managers, engineers, associates and subject matter experts with extensive project experience in a variety of industries, to enable the best possible service to all we work with.

Our team's project management experience was born out of developing large scale mining projects. Whilst we continue to be heavily involved in the mining sector, we have diversified and incorporated infrastructure, energy, agriculture and skills development projects, to a name a few, into our portfolio.

Bowline has earned a reputation for delivering consistent, workable solutions that deliver on clients’ objectives. Coming out of the big multinational environment, the team's experience identified a need for clients to enjoy equally big thinking, but in a more focused, flexible and engaging environment. The Bowline model reinforces the idea that it’s not simply about the number of people working in your organisation that can make a difference, but rather the calibre of those with whom you partner.
It is with this type of thinking in mind that Bowline will provide the necessary resources and skills needed by clients to achieve objectives, but also by participating in such a way that our involvement does not drive up project and/or overhead costs and ensure effective, efficient and productive services. The flexible solutions model is one that has seen ever-growing success for our clients over the many years where we have been delivering solutions.
In addition, Bowline subscribes to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) and has registered project management professionals (through the Project Management Institute “PMI” based in the USA) on our payroll and within our associates and partners.
OUR TEAM
The team from Bowline, have many decades of combined experience, in large, medium and small scale companies where experience in production, project consulting, engineering, financial and various other business areas were gained.
The team has experience emanating predominantly from the mining and built environment sectors. These sectors have allowed the team to acquire exposure and experience in project development, fund raising and project execution, regardless of the project.
Anyone who has worked in these sectors, will acknowledge the wide range of business services and multi-disciplinary collaboration that is required to make any business a success.
